Uploading webpages with Dreamweaver 8
The following will show how to upload webpages to the ACC webserver.

Have You Defined Your Site and Created Your Home Page?

You should have already completed the Site Definition process and created a simple home page before beginning these instructions.

Remote Information

1. Start Dreamweaver 8 and select Manage Sites.
2. Select your site’s name in the list of sites and click the Edit button.
3. Select the Advanced tab.
4. Select Remote Info.
5. Your information should be similar to that shown on the right.
6. Click the Test button to verify that Dreamweaver can connect with the ACC server.

Put (Upload) Files

Dreamweaver refers to the process of uploading files to a server as “putting” files, as in putting them on the server.

1. To put your web pages, images, etc., on the web server, click the blue arrow shown in the screen shot to the right.
2. You will see a message box that asks you if you wish to put the entire site. If you do, click OK.
3. A message will display telling you that Dreamweaver is connecting to the site.
4. When the file(s) is/are uploaded, a message at the bottom of the Files panel will display the message “File activity complete.”
