Instructional Network Applications
What are Instructional Network Applications?Instructional applications are software packages used by students and faculty in classrooms and computer labs to complete course assignments, tutoring modules, or to supplement instruction. These networked applications are setup to run from a server to allow for the benefit of license pools, improved processing speed, and centralized data storage. What do we do?IRT Network Services provides application hosting services for server based software and fully maintains the dedicated and multi-use servers needed to host these applications. This hosting service includes all the server side maintenance required to install, update, and configure the instructional application as well as the hardware and operating system upkeep required to ensure the servers are available and problem free. Interested in hosting a new Instructional Network Application?ACC Departments or Programs interested using the IRT Applications server(s) should submit an Applications Hosting Form to initiate the process. |
