The Austin Community College District (ACC) Master Plan continues the College’s efforts to manage growth and change through a comprehensive strategic planning process that is closely aligned with the institution's purpose/mission. The district Master Plan is aligned with the College's Closing the Gaps initiative, which is part of a state-wide effort to ensure economic competitiveness by increasing participation in higher education.

ACC reviews its Master Plan on an annual basis, and revises it in a “rolling three-year plan” each year. The Board of Trustees adopts the annual three-year Master Plan as part of its deliberations and adoption of the annual budget. This format allows the College to respond to opportunities and challenges which emerge, and to maintain an on-going focus on its progress in meeting its Master Plan goals.
