Do you want to - help your students get connected? Create fun collaborative learning projects? Encourage your students to communicate effectively in and out of the classroom?

Then, be sure you attend the seventh annual Teaching and Technology Trends Symposium at the Highland Business Center, April 3, 2009. The upcoming event will feature twelve workshops featuring proven technologies you can use to make your teaching and your student’s learning more effective.

Organized around four tracks the sessions include:

  • Presentation – SoftChalk Lesson Builder, Pecha Kucha-Classroom Presentations, Podcasting
  • Practice & Guidance – Digital Storytelling, Simulated Learning in Virtual Worlds
  • Interaction - Team-Based Learning using Clickers and Podcasting, Virtual Classroom-Adobe Connect
  • Assessment – Self and Peer Assessments, Respondus Online Testing

This event will address the training and professional needs of faculty and help ACC meet the goals of the strategic focus for the SACS self-study -- "Infusing 21st Innovation into Learning: A Student-Centered Examination of New Technologies, and Institutional Structures." (See SACS reports).

Each session will provide participants with concrete ways to employ the information, resources, tools, and skills learned to their job in the academic year. Faculty and staff will be able to obtain credit towards their training objectives, development plans, or to include in their portfolio.
