Multimedia Support (Installations)

Multimedia support group maintains and installs all multimedia technology in general purpose classrooms. Our standard console provides a projector, dedicated computer, DVD/VCR combo player, laptop connection, media console and control system. All multimedia installs are approved on a fiscal year basis by the College Wide Technology Committee. To request additional technology in a general purpose classroom submit this form.

Our department will also provide Audio/Video consultations for more specialized needs. We encourage departments to contacts us prior to purchasing equipment that will need to be installed.

The Instructional Resources and Technology department of ACC is available to assist with developing a multimedia strategy for your EVC MPH event. A Media Technology Specialist will be present to set up your media equipment as well as provide technical support throughout the event. Please contact Stephen Orsak for technical support.

+ EVC 8500

Austin Community Collegeís Eastview Multipurpose Hall (MPH) is a 3200 square foot variable-use facility. During the calendar year and school semesters, the MPH hosts a variety of events by ACC as well as Austin-area businesses and non-profit groups.

The Eastview MPH annually plays host to a diverse slate events such as:

  • Graduation Commencement ceremonies
  • Live music and spoken word performances
  • Film screenings
  • Panel Discussions
  • Luncheon and Banquets

The hall is equipped with a 32í x 10í stage as well as a matte-surface projection wall. Projected images are made possible by a 5200 ANSI lumens LCD projector.

A variety of wired and wireless handheld or lavaliere microphones are available for use. Live audio is reinforced by a 720 watt wall-mounted PA system as well as 400 watts of ceiling-mounted PA. The MPH is also equipped with an assistive listening system for hearing assistance.

Adjacent to the MPH is a kitchen which features a full-size refrigerator, ice machine, dishwasher, double sink, and two (2) microwaves. Food preparation and serving is made possible by two pass-through countertops that open onto the main hall area.

Austin Community Collegeís Riverside Multipurpose Hall (MPH) accommodates 80 fixed tired seats. During the calendar year and school semesters, the MPH hosts a variety of events by ACC as well as Austin-area businesses and non-profit groups.

The hall is equipped with a 18í projection screen and a furnished podium with a DVD/VCR combo player, a computer and laptop connection. Live audio is reinforced by ceiling-mounted PA. The MPH is also equipped with two wireless handheld MICS, one Lavaliere MIC, and three XLR connections.

Austin Community Collegeís Northridge Multipurpose Hall (MPH) accommodates 184 fixed tired seats. During the calendar year and school semesters, the MPH hosts a variety of events by ACC as well as Austin-area businesses and non-profit groups.

The hall is equipped with a 22í projection screen and a furnished podium with a DVD/VCR combo player, a computer and laptop connection. Live audio is reinforced by ceiling-mounted PA. The MPH is also equipped with two wireless handheld MICS, one Lavaliere MIC, and three XLR connections.

Austin Community Collegeís South Austin Multipurpose Hall (MPH) accommodates 40 seats. During the calendar year and school semesters, the MPH hosts a variety of events by ACC as well as Austin-area businesses and non-profit groups.

The hall is equipped with a 8í projection screen and a furnished moveable multimedia chart equiped with a DVD/VCR combo player, a computer and laptop connection.

Live audio is reinforced by ceiling-mounted PA and requires coordination with local media services technicians.

+ CYP MPH

Austin Community Collegeís CYP Lecture Hall accommodates up to 125 seats (without tables). During the calendar year and school semesters, the MPH hosts a variety of events by ACC as well as Austin-area businesses and non-profit groups.

The hall is equipped with three projectors and projector screens. Each of projectors has individual control from a furnished podium with a computer , DVD/VCR combo player and laptop connection. The MPH is also equipped with one wireless handheld MIC, six wired XLR connections.

Interactive Video Classrooms

ACC provides videoconferencing facilities, a web-based PC desktop collaboration system, and live and on-demand multimedia streaming for events. The Interactive Video Conference Classrooms provide two way video conference rooms that support classes and non-instructional meetings and events.
