Audio Tapes

Listening Area

Audio cassettes players are available in the Media Viewing Area of the libraries. Most of the cassette player are attached to junction boxes that allow for small groups to listen to the same tape at the same time.

Duplication

Students whose professors have tapes on library reserve can copy those tapes by using the tape duplicators provided in each library. These are high speed duplicators that can copy the educational tapes in a matter of minutes. Students need to supply their own blank tapes. Media staff are available to assist with the high speed tape duplicators.

Recording

Some professors ask students to make audio recordings. The Media Centers [Locations and Hours] have tape recorders that students can check out and use in quiet study rooms. The Rio Grande Campus houses a recording booth that students can use to make recordings for speech, foreign language and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.
