Audio Support

Instructional Resources & Technology provides resources and staff to support audio production. Basic levels of support for short projects are typically conducted through campus Media Centers [Locations and Hours] while requests with broader application that require expanded staff, time and resources may be referred to Instructional Development Services. Audio support equipment and services include:

Recording

Portable tape recorders can be checked out through the campus Media Centers to record class discussions, lecture notes, etc. Faculty and students must provide their own blank audio cassettes.

A production audio booth located at the Rio Grande Campus can be reserved by faculty or students through the Media Center.

Editing

Once the audio has been captured Media Center staff can assist with basic editing.

Duplication

High speed duplicators are available in each Media Center for faculty to make copies of recorded lecture notes or other copyright cleared items to make available to students.

Media Centers maintain master copies of textbook supplied audio tapes and can make copies of these tapes available in the library for students to listen to or duplicate.
