Non-Teaching Faculty and Staff
Step 1. All computers are eligible for replacement after 5 years. If your computer is not performing well, please have your campus Technician look at it.
If it is 5 years old, please check the inventory file:
Note: If you are currently assigned a laptop, you can follow the laptop replacement process.
Open the appropriate inventory file to see when your computer may be replaced.
Note: In the inventory file, all computers eligible to be replaced during the current fiscal year are identified. Requests may be submitted one month prior to replacement date.
Step 2. Choose a new desktop. Monitors are no longer being replaced on Dell Desktop replacement requests.

|To request a non-standard Dell desktop or a non-standard Apple iMac, you must identify your proposed modifications to the standard configuration and provide a justification for the request.|
If you opt to switch from a PC to a Mac or vice versa you should first verify the compatibility of any specialty software and/or hardware. Consult with your Campus Technician before switching, returns are not allowed.
Step 3. Submit an online request form.
Step 4. Receive the new computer.
Delivery typically takes less than 4 weeks from the time you submit your request. Once it arrives you can submit a Help Desk Service Request form for assistance with transferring files from your old computer to your new computer.
Step 5. Surplus the old computer.
Submit a Property Management--Move form to transfer your computer to surplus. A computer may be replaced only once through this process. Do not keep your old computer.
