Disabling the Textbox Editor in Blackboard

The Textbox editor feature in Blackboard is a user preference and not a course or system setting. As an instructor, if you do not want features such as spell check to be available to students, they will need to disable this functionality within their personal Blackboard account settings.

To disbable the Textbox Editor within Blackboard, do the following:

1. Log into Blackboard
2. Select My ACC.
3. Select Personal Information.
4. Click on the Set Visual Textbox Editor Options link .
5. Click on the Unavailable button.
6. Select Submit.
7. Click OK.
