Processes and Procedures--Pre Exam Development

Instructors who want to create computer based exams using Blackboard Advanced Testing Options (Respondus Authoring Tool) can either:

  1. download the software to an ACC computer from the ACC network
  2. access it using a faculty resource center computer at an ACC campus
  3. request a copy of the Respondus Authoring Tool software on CD to be mailed to you

Before an exam can be published to Blackboard or before an existing Blackboard test can be made secure, there are a few steps that need to be followed.

Instructors must have a Blackboard account to use the Respondus Authoring Tool. To obtain a Blackboard account, complete the Blackboard course request form.

A checklist is available to assist you with the secure exam publishing process. The checklist provides you with a step by step reference guide on how to how to develop and deliver a secure, computer based exam with the ACC Testing Centers.
