Author Mark Prensky has referred to today’s young learners as “digital immigrants.” They have grown up using computers and other digital devices, at school, at home, and in all their leisure-time activities. When they want to listen to music they download it from the Web and upload it to MP3 players, such as the iPod. They also play music and videos over their digital phones other portable devices. These young learners expect to be taught the way they play – via digital media. Digital audio can be a valuable learning and teaching tool. On this website you will find many audio resources we digital immigrants can use to facilitate learning and teaching the digital immigrants who populate our college campuses today.
