Integrated Reading & Writing: Training Resources
This online training consists of five units that will provide instructors with everything they need to develop their own integrated reading and writing curriculum for developmental students. Faculty will be able to create Integrated Reading & Writing (IRW) courses that will better prepare developmental students for success in college classes.

Option 1 – IRW Instructor Online Training Courses
Available through Austin Community College Continuing Education in a guided format, this training is facilitated by our IRW Faculty. Participants will work online with guided practice and assessments to meet course learning outcomes. The cost is $251/pp for 10-15 hours of training over a four-week period.

Option 2 – Download Content for IRW Training
The content for this training program is available to institutions that want to host and deliver the course themselves, as needed. Online modules developed in Blackboard® LMS can also be imported to Canvas® and other learning management systems.
To import the file to Blackboard, in your Blackboard Courses Site go to Control Panel > Packages and Utilities > Import Package / View Logs > Import Package. Browse and upload the file from your computer.
